Update Eyebrow post VOL2 - Microblading

Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that has become increasingly popular in recent years. It involves using a handheld tool to create hair-like strokes in the skin, mimicking the look of natural eyebrows. While microblading can provide many benefits, there are also some drawbacks to consider before undergoing the procedure.

The plus side of Microblading:

1. Saves time and effort: With microblading, you can save time and effort by not having to spend time filling in your brows every morning. This can be particularly helpful for those who have sparse or uneven eyebrows.

2. Long-lasting results: Microblading can last anywhere from one to three years, depending on the person's skin type and how well they care for their eyebrows. This means you won't have to worry about constantly getting touch-ups.

3. Natural-looking results: A skilled microblading technician can create natural-looking results that blend seamlessly with your existing eyebrows.

The downside of Microblading:

1. Cost: Microblading can be expensive, with prices ranging from $400 to $800 or more. Additionally, touch-ups may be required every few months, adding to the overall cost.

2. Pain and discomfort: The procedure involves making small cuts in the skin, which can be painful and uncomfortable, particularly for those with sensitive skin.

3. Risk of infection: There is a risk of infection with any procedure that involves breaking the skin. It's important to choose a reputable and experienced technician to minimize this risk.

4. Maintenance required: While microblading can last a long time, it does require some maintenance. This may include avoiding certain skincare products and treatments, as well as scheduling touch-ups every few months.
   
   My conclusion:

Overall, microblading can be a great option for those looking to enhance their eyebrows, but it's important to consider both the pros and cons before making a decision. Make sure to do your research and choose a skilled and reputable technician to ensure the best possible results. For me it will probably be the last time I doing them this way since I have mixed skin the pigment doesn’t stay too long so not really worth it at the end. Next step would probably be to do eyebrow transplant with Champagne affect and more on that I will follow-up with once the procedure is initiated.

The Ordinary

High- Spreadability Fluid Primer
I am sure by now, you probably have heard about this brand? If not, then make sure to check it out or at least try some of their products as I very am curious to know what is customers’ first impression of it.

The ordinary is mostly known for delivering quality skincare at an affordable price, keeping the packaging as simple as possible and less focus on brand marketing. Instead, the brand focuses more on the actual functions that can be afforded, the solutions and reasonable prices which is usually the trap that attracts some of us High-end product lovers.

Among other solutions, the brand has an answer for every skin type out there, among other solutions, it states to help out with reducing blemishes, minimizing the appearance of pores, reducing wrinkles and evening out the skin tone.

I have tried so far 4 products from this brand which I will be reviewing more on in future blog posts but by far this primer is absolutely one of my favorite products. Not only it's very cheap (even though it doesn't reach the same level of prepping the skin as my high-end primers), you still get naturally mattified, blurry yet glowing results once applied on clean skin.

When you first apply the primer, it feels cold, very fluid (almost as a cold oil) and once you blend it with your skin it turns more soft, smoothing and calming to the point where most of the pores get blurred. Unfortunately, as much as I really wanted to favorite this product as it did prep the skin and set the makeup, after a couple of hours you can clearly see how it does not locks the makeup even though your skin still looks youthful and natural.

I would probably still use it even on the makeup-free face because you still get an amazing feeling and great results if you are looking for something more natural and simple. I would say for daily use this would go great, but for evenings, nigh out and long days with no time to refresh the makeup, I would probably use the more expensive primers to keep the effect more lasting.

Let’s talk about Lash extensions baby!

Ask me whatever you need to know about eyelash extensions and I will give you my opinion based on my experience both as a customer and as a certified eyelash designer (since 2010). I got my License from Sweden, Stockholm and what started off as a training center at my beauticians home, is now a huge beauty salon and training canter for eyelash desinges such as me. I was only able to work an eyelash designed once or twice per week maximum as a part-time extra cash activity on the side of my fulltime job. Eyelashes and Brows can bring the face a new life and the feeling that you dont need to wear any makeup now that your features are already enhanced. 

Brows That Wows Vol1. Are those real?

I get that question asked the most when it comes to my looks along with, do you wear hair extensions? As a women with a Middle Eastern background some of us are usually  blessed with a fair amount of good hair, lashes and brows (in my case not so much the brows).  In this review I will be talking about the part one Taffy review for  eyebrow tattooing method which is basically the opposite of the harsh tattooing we are used to seeing the old days.  
The Taffy method look very natural because it simulates each of the real individual brow hairs and can be specifically customized. Depending on your own natural brow shape and color they can be carefully colored or completely reshaped as each new strand is delinquently etched and colored by hand. If you want to read more about the process, the tools, the price, how long they last and what kind of results you should expect I will be talking more about that in my VOL.2 eyebrow Taffy review but in the meantime I will post the link below to the website of Gnails salon were I had them done for more information.
Luckily I have managed to find a very special and truly talented eyebrow goddess where I come from in Sweden who helped me enhance and maintain my own natural brows. She is based in Stockholm and usually booked for months and months in advance so thank you to Gnails for really truly changing the way I feel and how my face looks (remember eyebrows really can help define your eyes and reshapes the face). 
It is an annoying and a time consuming thing to constantly having to worry about shaping my eyebrows. Long story short as I am sure many of you did, not listening to your mum saying -"do not over pluck your eyebrows or they never grow the way they were" will hunt you back later on re-thinking why you didn't I listen to your mum among many other advises during your life time . Back then I assumed since I had very thick hair and brows there is no way they will not grow back once I over plucked them.  I just thought it was in my genes I guess. But Nop, one of my eyebrows unfortunately never completely fully grew back to its natural shape as the other one did.  I live in Spain which encase you have oily skin means every time it rains or its too hot or you are at the beach tanning or swimming or just been to the gym chances are one of my eyebrows will fade slowly unless I fill it with makeup. So to constantly having to worry about my eyebrows is really not an ideal thing and I had far more important things to worry about than my brows (even though they are really important to me) so therefore when I first heard about the Taffy eyebrows on Instagram I was stunned of how natural they looked.  So here is my before and after picture of the first set since you do need to get them retouched after a couple of months in order for the color not to fade away completely once you have them retouched  they should last for a good amount of two years.

I Will post the image of the second retouching once I am back to Sweden in order to compare in my VOL.2 Taffy eyebrow review.

Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder 

My new top favorite obsession Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder in Crystal, which I just recently tried at Sephora.  Its a setting/finishing powder but also has a settle glow at first sight but when you actually put it on it gives this really settle glow to your face that's till manages to  mattify the greasy look your skin tends to have while setting your makeup. Your makeup ends up looking natural yet flawless. 

HIGHLIGHTS REVIEW

The Perfect Summer Hair Color: Balayage with Ash-blond tones.

Almost a year ago I craved lighter summer beach looking hair and I was recommended to visit La Poupee here in Barcelona in order to create the perfect summer color using a soft balayage technique with ash-blond and ombrehair highlights. The hair salon specializes in Ombre highlights and uses special technical that won’t damage your hair and still give it that beach looking California hair result that women usually go after during hot summer season. 
I was happy with the result and the ladies over at the salon were more than friendly and helpful to be around but considering that I have olive yellowish skin tone,  this might have been a bit too light for my skin-type so I will try to go  two tones darker with the base color and one tone darker with the highlights for next summer season.
